The Keres Kitchen welcomes Squealers to our commissary.  Founded by Bill McGrory and his wife Michelle Antonishek, Squealers is located at the South Shore Eatery (1620 East Riverside, Austin, TX 78741).

Check out their great breakfast and lunch menus and be sure to drop by the next time you are in the neighborhood.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Austin Truffle Co. to the Keres Kitchen.  They create traditional chocolates as well as fun and exotic chocolates in the artisan line.

Chef Brad Payton was born and raised in the Austin, TX area. After graduating from Round Rock High School, Brad continued his education, earning a bachelors degree in Fine Arts. His passion for art and food led him to the Texas Culinary Academy, where he received his pastry certification. Today Brad is opening a coffee shop at 183 & Lakeline Blvd here in Cedar Park, TX,  while ubiquitously handcrafting gourmet desserts at the Keres Kitchen.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome HannaLeigh Farm to our community at the Keres Kitchen.  Located just minutes from downtown Austin, HannaLeigh Farm is a two and a half acre farm in the Lake Travis Area.  HannaLeigh Farm is Austin’s finest aquaponic fish farm raising all natural tilapia.  They also grow hydroponic lettuce and a wide variety of herbs.

Stay tuned for some wonderful new tilapia recipes coming out of the Keres Kitchen as HannaLeigh teams up with the other members of the Keres Consortium.

Chocolate & Spice Demonstration

Like Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat, opposites really do attract. Discover unexpectedly delicious flavor combinations with this Moolala: $39 for a two-hour BYOB chocolate and spice tasting workshop from CHOCbite (a $100 value), or bring a buddy/sister/mother/spouse/adopted grandchild for $59 (a $200 value).

Featured on Good Morning America, CHOCbite is an custom gourmet chocolate maker based right here in Central Texas. With this Moolala experience, you get a sneak peek into their unique flavor combining methods in a fun and scrumptious two-hour experience. Led by the company’s Chief Chocolate Lover Adeline Rem, the shop invites participants into their commercial kitchen for tasting, learning and one-of-a-kind merrymaking.  Keres Spices expert Brian Dorman, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in London, will also be on hand with unique spices for mixing, such as ghost pepper, cayenne, cinnamon, green sea salt, black sea salt, red clay sea salt. While sipping cocktails, watch and taste as milk, dark and white chocolate is swirled with spices for melt in your mouth results.

This deal is for classes on December 16th and 20th only, and space is limited, so get them while there hot! When you’re finished, check out the shop’s pre-made combinations ranging from savory to nutty, salty and fruity.
